Product Introduction
Polytetramethylene Ether Glycol (PTMEG) is a linear polyether diol polymerized from tetrahydrofuran (THF), which is derived from 1,4-butanediol. At room temperature, it appears as white waxy solid, and turns into colorless transparent viscous liquid after heating.
PTMEG features excellent elasticity, low-temperature resistance, hydrolysis resistance, wear resistance and high tensile strength. It is the key soft segment material for high-performance elastic products. It is primarily used for manufacturing spandex (elastane), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE), high-grade polyurethane elastomers, sealants and special adhesives.
