Water-soluble PVA fiber

Water-soluble PVA fiber is cotton-like synthetic fiber, widely used in agriculture, light industry, textile, military, medical and other fields in recent years.

Water-soluble PVA fiber is cotton-like synthetic fiber, widely used in agriculture, light industry, textile, military, medical and other fields in recent years.

It features ideal dissolving temperature, high strength and good elongation, along with excellent acid resistance, alkali resistance and dry heat resistance. It is odorless, non-toxic after dissolving into colorless transparent solution, biodegradable in short time and eco-friendly with zero pollution.

Research proves PVA is the only water-soluble and biodegradable fiber-forming polymer. Its unique water solubility keeps promoting continuous R&D and diversified application of differentiated water-soluble PVA fibers.

It can be blended with cotton and other fibers. Removing soluble fiber after weaving greatly upgrades fabric texture and grade. Home textile industry also develops various innovative products to boost market demand.

As a type of vinylon fiber, it dissolves in hot water below 95℃ and owns strength 1.5-3 times higher than cotton, being an ideal eco-friendly new fiber.

In textile industry, it is adopted to spin high-count yarns. Blending with linen or wool then dissolving away PVA can produce fine pure linen/wool yarns for high-grade fabrics.

Nonwoven fabric made of PVA fiber serves as embroidery base cloth for more three-dimensional and soft embroidery effect. This processing method needs no equipment upgrade, cutting production cost effectively.

Its nonwoven materials are ideal for disposable medical supplies like surgical gowns, caps, masks and towels; pure PVA gauze works as non-adhesive medical dressing, offering eco-friendly disposal solution for medical waste.

High-tenacity PVA yarn is used for recyclable packing bags such as cement bags and feed bags. Low-temperature soluble PVA fiber mixed with pulp makes seedling tubes for mechanical sowing, which degrades naturally without harming soil. Its application scope keeps expanding.

Application

As the exclusive water-soluble synthetic textile raw material, it enjoys broad market prospect in textile, medical, packaging and papermaking industries.

Our water-soluble PVA fiber has low mirabilite content, perfectly suitable for degradable eco-products, embroidery base cloth, high-count yarns and twist-free fabrics.

With outstanding chemical resistance, antibacterial property, light fastness and good dispersibility, it is widely used in facial tissue, sanitary napkins, seedling paper, wallpaper, lens wiping paper, embroidery cloth, battery separator paper, tea bag paper, disposable hygiene products, refractory materials and ceramics.

Product Features

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) water-soluble fiber is produced from PVA via wet spinning, heat treatment, warm water crimping and oil finishing. It boasts excellent physical and mechanical properties, good corrosion resistance, acid/alkali resistance and dry heat stability, with the key feature of being soluble in water at 86–95℃.

Our company has an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons for water-soluble PVA fibers. We have effectively resolved technical issues affecting post-processing performance, including oil agent selection and insoluble matter content. With mature production processes and stable quality, all technical indicators have been tested to meet advanced international industry standards. The product is certified under the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.

Specifications

We can produce water-soluble PVA staple fibers with linear density from 1.11 dtex to 2.00 dtex and cut length from 30 mm to 40 mm.
